Bio

Dr. Brenda L. McMahon, M.D., P.T., was born in Apple Valley, California, and raised in Maryland. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Maryland School of Medicine with a degree in Physical Therapy and began her career in the Neurotrauma Unit at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, specializing in acute head and spinal cord injury rehabilitation. She later earned her medical degree with distinction from George Washington University School of Medicine.

Dr. McMahon pursued advanced medical training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), where she was among the select few accepted into UPMC’s Integrated General Surgery and Plastic Surgery Program. She also completed a residency and earned Board Certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. During her training, she developed a passion for functional, regenerative, and cellular medicine, obtaining extensive certifications from leading medical research institutes. Since 2018, she has been a fellow of the Seeds Scientific Research and Performance Institute (SSRP).

With 29 years of medical experience, Dr. McMahon founded the McMahon Center for Optimal Health in 2004, focusing on lifestyle modification, targeted nutritional supplements, bio-identical hormones, peptides, and plasmalogens to enhance overall well-being. She remains dedicated to advancing functional medicine and currently resides with her family in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
