Eva-Maria Hasenbeck, MD, PHD, FEBO, IFMCP, FAAO

Dr. Eva-Maria Hasenbeck is an ophthalmologist who is also a Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology (FEBO) and of the American Academy of Ozonotherapy, a member of ILADS, ISEAI, TEDx speaker and author of the books The End of Uveitis and Macular Edema and The Chronic Lyme Disease Solution.

After suffering from the symptoms of her Hashimoto's disease for over ten years herself, she was looking for ways to work on her health independently. In retrospect, that was when she became more or less "hooked" on Functional Medicine. Shortly after, she became a member of the Institute for Functional Medicine (USA) and started the IFM certification process. Meanwhile, she is officially the first German physician certified by the Institute for Functional Medicine, Dr. Goodenowe (Prodrome Science), The Wahls Protocol (Dr. Terry Wahls), ReCODE 2.0 (Dr. Dale Bredesen), as a Mold-Literate Practitioner (Dr. Jill Crista) and as a HeartMath® Practitioner (HeartMath® Institute). She successfully completed the ILADEF Physician Training Program.

Her area of expertise lies in chronic complex conditions (MCAS, mycotoxin illness, immune system disorders, etc.), autoimmune disorders and chronic infections (Lyme, viruses, etc.).  She works as the “medical detective” for her patients and uses special Functional Medicine tests on a deeper level to understand why symptoms are happening. These test results are used to create a personalized treatment plan addressing the root cause of the illness and simultaneously to restore overall health. She works one-on-one with her patients, leveraging their lab results to achieve the best outcome for every single patient.
