While practicing in the conventional medicine space for over 25 years, Dr. Bayliss has long been passionate about holistic approaches to health that supersede some of the limitations of traditional medicine. Her prior experiences include a career in surgical pathology and laboratory medicine while simultaneously championing transformative patient centered care initiatives in cancer care.
Driven by a desire to address the root cause of illness and to help make a difference in people’s lives, Dr. Bayliss transitioned to Functional Medicine in 2018. She has sought extensive training through the Institute of Functional Medicine, mentored under Kara Fitzgerald ND, Neil, Nathan MD and Jill Crista ND (biotoxin/mold illness), Dale Bredesen MD (ReCode—cognitive health), Jason Hawrelak and Allison Siebecker (gut health, SIBO and microbiome restoration) and more recently Dayne Goodenowe (plasmalogens/cell membrane restoration) as well as Tom Moorcroft, (tick bourn disease). On the forefront of understanding health and wellness, the practice of Functional Medicine necessitates dedication to ongoing robust education. Dr. Bayliss continues to enhance her knowledge and skills with deep interest and enthusiasm.
