BioMetrix™ BioScan is a research-use-only test designed to measure biochemical markers in serum samples. This assay provides detailed reporting on over 40 biomarkers to support biochemical research and analysis. It also examines plasmalogen levels and factors influencing plasmalogen biosynthesis. Plasmalogens are phospholipids that play a role in cellular membranes and biochemical processes.

- Receive Your Kit: Each BioMetrix™ BioScan kit includes a serum collection tubes and test requisition form.
- Complete Required Forms: Fill out the included questionnaire and obtain client consent via the signed Test Requisition Form.
- Collect Sample: Follow the included instructions to safely collect the serum sample.
- Return Sample for Analysis: Ship the sample using the provided instructions. Results will be sent directly to the registered health professional.
- Review Results: Health professionals can interpret results for research and educational purposes.
- The BioSCAN instructions include a QR code to complete the required questionnaire intake. Please note that we cannot process the sample unless this questionnaire is filled out submitted through our program.
- The Test Requisition Form included in the kit must be signed by the client. We cannot process the sample without this signed consent.
- Fasting - Do not eat or drink any beverage, except for water or black coffee, for at least 10 hours prior to your blood draw. It is also recommended that you avoid alcohol for at least 72 hours and exercising for at least 48 hours before your scheduled blood draw. You may continue to take your medication and supplements before your scheduled blood draw.
To arrange a blood draw, you will need to contact your physician or local phlebotomist. You may also schedule an appointment for a fee at travalab.com/prodrome-sciences. Please note this service is not affiliated with Prodrome Science and is a third-party service provider presented for your convenience. Do not schedule blood draws for Fridays
