Bio

My name is Richard M. Delany, M.D., F.A.C.C. I am a multiple-boarded physician (Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Geriatrics, Critical Care), Diplomate of Anti-Aging Medicine, with formal training in Functional Medicine.

I graduated from Georgetown University Medical School, followed by three years of Internal Medicine training at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut, and then two years of Cardiology training at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C. I have been in the private practice of medicine in my own office building just south of Boston, Massachusetts for over 40 years. I have also had additional training during my practice years at the Paracelsus Clinic in Switzerland.

For the last fifteen years, my medical practice has been a concierge medical practice that has allowed me the time to fully evaluate and be available to my patients.

I provide an integrative form of Personalized Preventive Medicine, always seeking to understand “the Why and How” behind a disease process. Insights over the last three years from Dr. Goodenowe have allowed me to understand the importance of focusing upon and achieving lasting health for the individual patient.

Below Is a Summary Poem

What Makes a Good Doctor

To seek causes of disease

Why and how they occur

Discovering physiologic solutions

Are what good doctors prefer

To frequent literature review

To grasp the disease within

Name and blame: avoided

Think and link: can begin

To collect patient information

Acquired from far and wide

History of a patient’s family

And what old records provide

Unraveling a disease’s timeline

Its exposure – an acquired art

Old test results long forgotten

Might answer “How did it start?”

A detailed past medical history

A physical exam – complete

Maintaining clinical skills

By repeat and again repeat!

Test choices thoughtfully made

A process of narrowing down

Realizing the clinical context

Frames the analytical ground

Kindness and compassion

Interaction in a respectful way

Repeat physical exams oft provide

What other tests might not say

To always seem to be available

Even when it’s hard to do

Caring about the need to be caring

To do the best that you can do!

Clinic Information

My office arose from the structure of an old pharmacy over 40 years ago and has been refurbished 5 years ago.  It is a comfortable and solid structure with an attractive waiting area,  a separate bathroom, three exam rooms, two medical offices, 1 business office, an area for blood and urine organization . There is a downstairs eating area, for the staff along with a downstairs bathroom for staff, a clerical office area. The parking lot is directly behind the office and is the correct size for patients coming and going. My office is located just south of Boston Massachusetts in Milton, MA , 10 minutes after you get off the freeway south.
